Hi I'm Shelby, an old soul who finds joy in slow mornings with a latte, baking sourdough, browsing thrift stores, piddling in the garden, dipping my toes in the lake, and spending time with my family.
My mother first heard the name Shelby in the 1989 film Steel Magnolias — and that southern charm, comfort, and hospitality were ingrained in me ever since. It’s what eventually led me to create Magnolia Tree Weddings: a boutique planning experience that feels like a warm embrace — gracious, heartfelt, and deeply personal.

Animals have always held a special place in my life. There’s something so pure about their kindness, innocence, and unconditional love — it’s one of my greatest joys. My home is filled with the patter of paws, and I’m constantly reminded how many more sweet souls are still waiting for their forever family.
This passion comes from my faith — the belief that every living thing is worthy of love and care, and that “it is in giving that we receive.” That’s why, for every wedding I plan, I sponsor a dog or cat at The Bond Between, a wonderful Minnesota animal rescue. In your honor, you’ll receive their name, photo, and a little story about the animal you helped care for on their journey home.
The Bond Between provides safe shelter, veterinary care, and daily love to animals in need while working tirelessly to find them permanent, loving homes. If you’d like to learn more or support them directly, you can visit their site.

Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to start! I could just go on and on about how simply incredible and seamless Shelby made our whole day go, from start to finish. As a vendor who will be by your side throughout most of your day, we really took our time choosing a wedding coordinator and never once regretted our decision in choosing Shelby. She made our whole vision come to life, orchestrated all of the small details and timeline, kept everyone on schedule, and made sure we were doing well throughout the wedding day. The day after the wedding, we were talking and honestly said to one another that I think you could have thrown anything Shelby's way and she would've just handled it with no biggie!
